Terms of Service

Effective September 17, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and StoreBadger ("we", "us") for the service at storebadger.com. By creating an account you agree to them. They're written in plain language on purpose.

What the service is

StoreBadger watches publicly available product listings on Shopify stores you choose and emails you when prices change or products are added. It reads only data those stores make public to every visitor. It does not connect to any Shopify admin, yours or anyone else's.

Your account

You sign in with a link we email you. Keep your email account secure; anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You're responsible for what happens under your account. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service to harass, defame or unlawfully target any store or person;
• attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits or the manual-check cooldown;
• probe, scan or attack the service or its infrastructure;
• resell the service or its output without our written permission.

Watching a competitor's public prices is a normal business activity. What you do with the information is your responsibility, including compliance with competition and consumer law in your jurisdiction.

Plans and billing

The Free plan lets you watch 1 store at no charge. The Pro plan is $9/mo (USD) and lets you watch up to 10 stores. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't give partial refunds for unused time. If a payment fails, Stripe will retry; if it keeps failing, your account drops to the free plan and any stores over the limit are paused, not deleted.

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email.

What we promise, and what we don't

We work to check every store daily and alert you accurately, but the service depends on third-party stores continuing to publish their data and on providers we don't control. We can't guarantee that every change is caught, that alerts arrive on time, or that the service is available at any given moment. The service is provided "as is". Don't make decisions with serious financial consequences on an alert alone without checking the store yourself.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost profits, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

Ending the agreement

You can delete your account at any time by emailing support@storebadger.com. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we can discontinue the service with reasonable notice; if we do, we'll refund any prepaid period we don't deliver.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Alberta.
